Just because you feel a little tired or sore, that does not mean it's a sign to quit. Training is all about pushing through perceived limitations. Each time you push, your body adjusts to the pain/soreness and next time you will be able to go a little farther/faster. That's the whole idea behind speedwork. And your whole "Team Voice" crew has been dogging you for months about doing a 5K. I think it is a very good idea - starting out with a 1/2 marathon as your very first race would not be wise, IMHO.mgreenehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01582445561214816380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2625094203486599783.post-78665383836904018352008-07-01T18:05:00.000-07:002008-07-01T18:05:00.000-07:00Hmmmmm...I'm not sure where I see the endurance co...Hmmmmm...I'm not sure where I see the endurance coming up here. How are you going to be able to walk/jog/run/wog whatever for 3+ hours?

Just a thought.

Take care. :-)Katehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03888992633073984786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2625094203486599783.post-27885293122578317672008-07-01T13:22:00.000-07:002008-07-01T13:22:00.000-07:00Okay...with all the Yoda references....I've got th...Okay...with all the Yoda references....I've got the picture of him beating back R2D2 with a stick yelling "mine mine mine" LOL

Do or do not, there is no try....Is that so true or what! Although you have retired from the Jedi Council and married your princess, you are not allowed to slip back into padawan status.

Just teasing you a bit. I know you CAN DO THIS. Man I know I am going to hear it for that one.

Now for your training. I am going to be mgreene#2. I do not want to hear any excuses. I saw some pop back up last month. Sometimes soreness is just soreness and you can run/jog/walk/wog through it. Only if it intesifies should you pull back. Remember proper stretching is your friend. I have a lot of respect for you and what you are doing. Just remember that. But I am going to be on you like white is on rice!:) And that glass of wine after the race at the meet will taste that much better. Remeber you can accomplish anything when you do it with "XS"! I heard it on mouseworld the other day and could not resist. Keep moving forward! Now use that as a foundation for July and kick some tail!

June was my best month mileage-wise and achievment-wise, so it was going to be a tough month to beat the stroller-dude ;-) But hey, it was more about motivating us both to give it our all, have a little fun, and bring us one step closer to Main Street, right?Chrishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00037222368629496098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2625094203486599783.post-58828242488259846562008-07-01T07:12:00.000-07:002008-07-01T07:12:00.000-07:00The man with a plan, sounds good. What, no June cha...The man with a plan, sounds good.

What, no June challenge summary? or did I miss it....very possible as my computer was, how should I put this lightly...hosed!Chrishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00037222368629496098noreply@blogger.com
