So - I start the new year down 2.4 pounds. Not a bad wake up present. :) I needed an accurate weigh-in today since my office is doing a monthly Biggest Loser competition - and I intend to win! I have a few new tools from Christmas, too. I got a Fitbit Ultra! And I have it matched to my "Lose it!" app on the phone - and it's a great pair of tools!
And since we have a new attitude, I figured I'd share a picture of Elizabeth's all new 'tude with you.
It was very sunny and she really wanted her own sunglasses - so we got them for her. She wouldn't put them down. Wanted them at all times that first day. But this is a rare moment where they were actually ON HER HEAD!
Okay - so I fly out Thursday to do my best to conquer the WDW Half Marathon! And see my teammates! And start 2012 on a high note! And as we know - even if the worst happens - not finishing is vastly superior to not starting.
As John Bingham would say: at least I have "the courage to start!"
And I'll hold onto that courage as we push further and beyond!
EPCOT AWAITS!

Aren't you supposed to gain some weight before a biggest losers competition? That way you have more to loose.
ReplyDeleteI'm just kidding. It's nice to see you with a new attitude. When your posts go negative, I just don't know what to write to encourage you.
So the half-marathon is next weekend. That reminds me that I have a lot of work to do if I'm going to run in next years. But for now I will be watching the website next week for you to finish.
So only 2.6 lbs to your first "no retreat" 5lb goal. Halfway there. Cool.
ReplyDeleteGo Jonathon go! I would love a Fitbit! Make the most of it! Finish that race!!!!Finish proud!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo - starting down is certainly the right way to start!
No negative thoughts - you can finish this race next week. Be careful, I might just drag you across the finish line :)!
Can't wait to see you next week!
YAY!!!! half way to first goal!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!!
Keep on truckin' J-man. Happy New Year to you and the family, and have a safe trip to the World. See you down there.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Jonathan!!! I am still here in the back ground cheering you on. :)
ReplyDeleteJanuary itself is always a good starting line. You have the tools, put those together with proper mental discipline and you'll do great. Once you get consistent and start seeing those few pounds here and there add up, discipline will not be as challenging. Nice to read that your halfway to that first 5lb goal.
ReplyDeleteStay thirsty (for your goals) my friend. See you soon.
