Alrighty - first - please enjoy this picture of Elizabeth enjoying her first pretzel in Disneyland (this was taken in March/April-ish).Now that that's out of the way - I'm down around 4 pounds in two weeks (3.8) - and feeling really good about that.
Stomach woes are pretty much behind us. Just some lingering GI distress.
I've gotten out last week a few times for a short jaunt, and tomorrow I will kick up my "short" jaunt to 1.5 miles as my regular loop - until August 30, when my short loop will change to follow Galloway's training program for the 1/2 Marathon.
I'm really excited about the fact that I now have TWO pairs of shoes - yes - the Asics came in - and both seem to help with the shin pain. Not sure which pair I prefer yet, but I'm just happy to have them.
How're YOU all doing, my friends? How's your training going? How's your LIFE going?
And who's looking forward to January already???
EPCOT AWAITS!
It's great your back on track now.
ReplyDeleteMy training is going great, I'm looking at dropping my weight into the 200's for the first time in 5 years. I just got the same Asics shoes you got and my feet don't hurt anymore. And I'm working on trying to get my 5K distance down below 30 minutes. Once I get it below 30 minutes I will start training for 1/2 marathons and I will see you in Epcot in 2013.
But who comes to this blog to read about me? I love that picture of your daughter. Keep up your hard work, we are all pulling for you.
Sweet - nice weight loss and I detect a swing in the mood to the positive - very important stuff!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the shoes are helping and that you're working on building some distance again.
I had a rough week last week - a little overtrained and under confident, but I'll do what I can do and stay on track. I am looking forward to the Disneyland Half even if I don't get the PR I was hoping for this time around.
I cannot wait until January. I am looking forward to the races for sure - I want to do better on the Dopey this time around. I cannot wait to see all my Team Voice buddies and enjoy time in the parks and some great meals. It's going to be a blast!
Glad to see good things here. Glad the shoes are working out. I am glad to hear all of you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteHere I have been working and volunteering. I am now the President of my daughters band boosters. The other President stepped down. What a mess I have been cleaning up.
I even missed a duathlon!!
Looking forward to Jan. It going to be a great get away!!
