AATM PRESS RELEASE

In case you missed it....

AATM - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Celebrate the Finale of AATM!

Wednesday June 30th, 2010 will be the final show for All About the Mouse. Bryan Ripper and Jonathan Dichter have decided together to end the weekly podcast effective this week. This decision did not come easily - and it is very important that you understand the reasons. Both Bryan and Jonathan have had increasing pressures in their lives, including work, family, and health stressors. As such, a decision point was reached where either our lives would suffer, or the show would. Neither was acceptable to us. We refuse to put out less than the best quality show we can for you, our listeners. Therefore, it is with sadness, that we close this chapter together. We made this decision as a team with no animosity or bad feelings between us. It was the only logical choice we could make.

Our final show will be a LIVE CALL IN SHOW starting at 8PM EST. Our live show on June 30th is designed to give you the opportunity to share in the memories of magic and mayhem. We will be hosting a live call in show for our listeners, colleagues, and friends. We will keep the lines open as long as we can, and Mouseworld Radio has graciously allowed us to do so. We want to hear from ALL of you. Call in to remember, laugh, cry, and celebrate this three year journey with us. It will be a fun journey through the wonderful experience that has been All About the Mouse.

The show will begin with Bryan and Jonathan explaining why the show is being retired in detail, followed by a tribute piece of audio put together by some of our favorite friends, and then - open phone lines for you as long as we can manage it. We want to make sure the show ends as it has always been - with YOU, our listeners and friends.

Join us at 8pm EST on June 30th - at www.allaboutthemouse.com - for the Finale of the All About the Mouse Disney Podcast.

Thank you for being our loyal legions. We can't wait to talk to you all.

Can't do it all by our onsies....saavy?

Folks - we're at that critical juncture - and all of our teammates are starting to realize it.

Rae has said she misses her Team.

The Team Voice Blog is re-activated.

Chris, Justin, Jeff, Byron, and all our mates are starting to refocus and really buckle down.

Our newer teammates like Amanda are jumping on board.

And folks like Fee are crossing the pond.

We are just about 100 days away from W&DHM.

And we CANNOT give up - we CANNOT go it alone - and those of us who have staggered, stumbled, or even fallen - must STAND UP. Must move forward. Must keep the course.

Rae says it best - DISNEY PEOPLE DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!

So - team - I believe in you.

And I'm with you!

(Probably at the back of the pack - but here nonetheless!)

Our goals haven't changed - FINISH W&D and set a PR at WDW HM in January!

Let's DO THIS!

A Father's Day Miracle

Okay - first of all - on measurement day - I was down nearly 5 pounds in two weeks. Feeling great about that - rapidly REapproaching the 330s (only 2 pounds left). And I'm going to finish June strong - and keep steamrolling.

That being said - last night I had an amazing and heartwarming and heartbreaking experience.

Since February when my dad passed, we've been trying to track down photo albums. They left a TON of them behind in Oklahoma. Nobody knew where they were. Long story short, after cleaning out a house, the neighbors found about 10 albums that they'd held for us, but forgotten about.

They arrived yesterday.

Wow.

Family trips - gatherings - WDW pictures from when I was around 5 - and TONS of Dad.

It's not an accident that I received them two days before my first father's day - and my first without my father.

I cried a lot last night.

And now my heart is full and happy to have them.

As I restore them, I'll share them here when I can.

But...wow. What a miracle, right?

New Look - New Attitude

Okay - first of all - suggestions for shin splints?

Secondly - so happy my good friend Justin (Justkeepgoofin) redesigned my logo to meet the new brighter happier shinier, and WIDER blog layout I've chosen. :) Thanks Justin!!!

Thirdly - I've been doing REALLY well with eating and exercise this week - we do measurements on Friday with Bree - and I'm really excited to find out how I've been doing!!!

So overall....feeling groovy! You?

When you wish...

Okay - today marks an important step in my re-preparation for racing.

Today I abandoned the treadmill and elliptical - for an OUTSIDE walk. 1.3 miles. The old Safeway Loop.

Aside from a serious shin splint in my left shin - it felt AWESOME.

And as I was walking, I listened to my running mix - which I've missed a great deal. I enjoyed the sunshine - the birds - the blue sky - and a wonderful rendition of one of my favorite songs of all time. When You Wish Upon a Star.

And I heard a part of it in a new way.

"When your heart is in your dreams."

Yes my friends. It's important to REALLY hear this line.

Don't just workout. Don't just walk or wog or run or jog. Don't just race or raise money.

Put your HEART into it. Find the dream that's a part of it.

Mine?

Lifelong health and helping others.

And if I put my heart into that - 1000% - no request is too extreme.

Teething

First of all - this is NOT Elizabeth.

I WISH.

Nope - her teeth are STILL not in - but now we're firmly ensconced in the torturous time of teething - where our happy smiley girl - is now a fussy uncomfy girl.

I wish we could do more to help her....

She's good MOST of the time - but when she's uncomfy she's so fussy.

In any event - that's where I've been the last 10 days.

That and working out with Bree - focusing on getting my food intake under control - focusing on getting out there and getting some walking done - and so far - so good! Bree forbade me from using the scale for another week and a half when we'll do some updated measurements - and figure out how we're doing - but I FEEL good...so hopefully that's a good sign. :)
