Back to Marathoning

I had a good workout this morning with Bree - and we had a check-in.

We're four months away from Wine and Dine.

I'm stronger. I have more stamina. I'm probably leaner.

But I'm gaining and losing the same 4-5 pounds.

What now?

So we're changing things up - we're going to 2 days a week of strength and cross training - with three days a week of running/walking - no more elliptical. Staying sport specific. And getting onto the Marathoning for Mortals workout plan.

We're also going to be MUCH more rigid about logging our food intake.

We both think that I can do a half. But not gracefully.

The goal is to complete October - and set a PR in January.

If we can accomplish this plan through June, and stay strong through the summer months - we're gonna be in good shape.

How are YOU faring as you get to 120 days before your trip?

And don't forget - tomorrow is donation day!

A Little Fishy

I couldn't resist this image!

So - first of all - another great workout with Bree this morning - REALLY looking forward to seeing some results as we approach June 1.

On July 1 I'll be switching up from 3/3 Strength/Cardio to 1/5 Strength/Cardio - as we count down 12 weeks until the Wine and Dine! HOLY CATS! It's almost here!!!

Now - to the topic of today's post...

THIS WEEK ON AATM - OUR GUEST IS JODI BENSON.

Yes.

JODI BENSON.

You heard me.

JODI BENSON.

Don't know who she is?

My Constant

Well - it's officially over.

Yes, my friends, Lost is over.

And I have to say - I'm in the camp of people that was not only "okay" with the finale - but I was overwhelmingly satisfied and pleased with it.

Yes - we never got some "answers" - but did we really need them? Or did we need the closure our characters got?

So today - after a fulfilling workout with Bree - and a loss of 3 pounds last week - I can bid farewell to one of my favorite shows of all time with a full heart and a happy smile.

Knowing that I'll see them all again.

Sooner or later.

New Week - New Attitude

No - not THAT kind of attitude!

Bree and I (who just finished a GREAT workout) have decided that this week is the week to bring all of our success together into a cohesive whole. Great strength workouts - 3 days of cardio - good meal logging - and caloric deficit.

And if we can do that for ONE WEEK - we can post a great loss - and then shoot for TWO WEEKS - and then ONE MONTH - and before you know it - I'm in great shape at the Wine and Dine!

Yes, my friends, we're finally gathering steam - we're finally getting traction.

So don't be grumpy!!!

Just Keep Swimming

Alright - I didn't swim - but the theme is the same.

After a baby fever, and a rough Thursday - today Breezy (her nickname) and I got back on track with some squats, shoulder presses, and lots of weight work. I'm planning on 90 minutes of cardio this weekend, too.

I'm going to TRY the Lake Serene Loop. Why try?

Because I tripped and took my ENTIRE pinky toenail off. Entirely. It hurts.

Lots.

But I'm still going to get out there and give it my best.

Why?

Because Disney people don't give up!

Just Keep Squatting

With apologies to my friend Justin - I HAD to post this today.

Because Bree and I did another WONDERFUL workout session this morning!

We have a new rule - that should really help me up my mileage! 90 minutes of cardio a week IN ADDITION to my workouts with Bree.

Oh yeah! I did 15 minutes this morning, plan 30 for Thursday, 15 for Friday, and 30 for Saturday or Sunday. That's 90. And should increase my overall mileage.

I'm keeping my club 8 success under wraps for now - I really want to WOW you all with a great number towards the end of the month - sufficied to say that Bree and I are kickin' butt! We did LOTS of good work today!

Now...

Today's QUESTION: Please comment and answer for me.

1) ARE YOU GOING TO WDW IN OCTOBER 2010 for the Wine and Dine?

2) Are you competing in it?

3) When do you arrive and when do you leave? Where are you staying?

I want to get planning on a Club8/TeamVoice meet or two! :)

Here comes....me!

Alright - I'm not judging today - but I will be for a good part of this month - and I really really enjoy it. I have to say. And I don't think I ever posted a picture of me in the robes on the bench before - so I figured I'd post it. :)

Had another session with Bree this morning - focusing on upper body today - and she's at it again - because I'm sore enough that I might have trouble washing my hair. LOL

On the whole - getting used to logging every piece of food, and exercising harder than I have in the past - May looks good. Amanda - I'm really proud of you for your progress - I can't wait to see you (and ALL of you) in October!!!

Get those ADRs in - Free Dining is back - and so they'll go FAST!!!

Sore. SO sore.

Bree and I had our second session yesterday.

WOW - she really did a number on me. We did squats, planks, step-ups, crunches, and a bunch of other stuff that I don't remember. All I know is that my quads are on fire today - as are my abs - and it's all a GREAT feeling.

Although I need a massage. LOL

That being said - I'm really excited about this month. Really jazzed.

I'm using the "MyNetDiary" app for my iPad to track calorie intake and exercise. We went shopping at Whole Foods for some good quality produce and meat. And we're cooking healthy meals and getting things back to where they should be.

We're also planning our ADRs for October and January - which is helping build the excitement to a higher level.

All in all - it really feels like it's all coming together.

How are YOU doing? Are you struggling? Is there anything your teammates can do to help you?

First Session with Bree

I wish I could tell you that Bree, my new personal trainer, kicked my butt this morning.

But I can't.

Which is totally okay.

We focused on measurements, identifying goals, and going over medical information today. We clearly discussed what I want, how I'm going to get there, and how she's going to kick my butt into gear to do it.

We talked races; health; nutrition; and everything.

It was a REALLY good session.

And we're starting off with 3 sessions a week - and then likely down to 2 a week. I have 13 sessions left (already paid for) and we'll see how that goes! May's going to be a GREAT month - I just know it!!!

Have you made your Club 8 donation? I popped in $10 since I didn't hit my 8 pound goal (in fact, who's bright idea was it to have my birthday party on the 30th? The night before weigh-in? Sheesh! At least I'm not UP any weight.)
