So - I've not lost anything this week - I'm up .1 pounds, but that's nothing to be concerned about. In fact, I'm not even concerned about the no loss. This week was a good week. I stayed within my points - except for Sunday - when Amber and I shared a much needed day out - and I used some of my "weekly" points on movie popcorn and a hot dog. I'm sure that's why I'm feeling bloated and holding onto some weight.
Now the question is - surviving this week.
Here's the plan I have.
1. Stay within my daily points on every day except Thursday.
2. Have one plate of Thanksgiving dinner ONLY.
3. Hit the gym Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (5k outside if it's not snowing), Saturday, Sunday.
This is, I think a good plan to get through the holiday without doing damage, and possibly moving forward too!
What are YOUR plans on how to combat Thanksgiving? Are you worried?
MAIN STREET AWAITS!
Remember the one bite rule when filling your plate! The first bite is usually the best! It's all down hill from there, so why take more than one or two bites?
ReplyDeleteI like J Darling's comment, it's very true and a good way to combat overeating. :-)
ReplyDeleteCrazy question, but...are you drinking your 7 glasses of water? Wondering if that has something to do with the non-loss this week. If you're not, get that water in and i think you'll be surprised next week. You body might just be "holding out" on you.
For me, I try to keep as normal of an eating schedule as possible on Thanksgiving otherwise I end up snacking too much, eating too much, making bad decisions. I also try to go with very small portions and reserve the right to get up for a bit more if needed. I find that I end up engrossed in conversation (or chasing down two kids..) and what I took is more than filling. Also, I make sure I drink a ton of water...that keeps you feeling full as well.
I'm planning to run between 11 to 16 miles on Thanksgiving morning. After that anything I eat will be "covered!" :)
ReplyDeleteI am going to run about 3 miles on the treadmill in the morning. Then I will eat a large Gala apple just before going to my MIL for Thanksgiving lunch. Saturday is my B-Day and I am going to run 8 miles.
ReplyDeleteHa, I had good intentions to get out and get some miles today (Thanksgiving), but I used it as a rest day instead and am glad I did.
ReplyDeleteI hope your paln worked well and you stayed in control!!
