16 Days - Mama and Moms

Woke up this morning with a really sore throat and barely able to breathe out my nose. Huge headache. Going to take it easy (try to sneak in a nap later) and avoid getting sick before the trip.

Regardless - let's talk about the "mama" story. So - what constitutes a word? Elizabeth was sleeping, cuddling with Amber, and starting having a nightmare. When we woke her to snap her out of it - she cried - whimpered - and then clearly YELLED "MA MA MA!" and flopped onto Amber, falling back to sleep soundly and securely.

She has not repeated the word since.

So does it count? It sure SEEMED like she knew what she was saying...

Speaking of "mama" - my application for the Mom's Panel is in - I think. Well I submitted it - and the site says I did. But I never got my confirmation e-mail. Which has me worried. Did it mess up somehow and not go through? If anyone out there can get word to the selection committee to check and make sure you got mine - please do. :)

Do you have any idea how HARD it is to convey my love for Disney and enthusiasm for the Moms Panel in only 100 words per question. WOW.

In any event - I hope you're all doing well - have a great day - and I'll be feeling better tomorrow I'm sure! :)

MAIN STREET AWAITS!

  1. Poor Baby!! I do hope you get to feeling better soon! Vitamin C and steam, that always fixes me up.

Is there an e-mail address that you could use to check? Or maybe it would be worth sending it again, just to be sure. It wold be too bad for it to not get to them because of some glitch.

As for the Mama, Jennifer was about Elizabeth's age when she first said Mama and boy was I thrilled. She still calls me that and I am still thrilled today when I hear it.

    Take care of yourself!!

  3. I hope you're not coming down with anything - just take as much rest or 'down time' as you can manage, and plenty of fluids. Of course, I type this at *cough*work*cough* as people are sneezing all around me and not a tissue in sight.

Good luck with the Mom's Panel! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you :).
