Ultrasound II

I still can't describe to you how awesome these ultrasound thingies are.

Yesterday's was awesome.

First a quick update. I'm feeling a little better - pretty sure it's allergies working overtime and not actual illness. Which is good. I leave tomorrow morning for Oklahoma, and will be back on Monday - but dealing with the folks until Thursday when I go back to work.

And then - hopefully things go back to some sense of normalcy. LOL

Okay - first piece of news from the Ultrasound.

We confirmed it. Elizabeth IS in fact, a girl.
Okay - so here's what you're looking at. The two circles on the left side that look like a separated snowman are her knees. The arrow is pointing at a white dot. Just above and below the dot, if you look hard, you can see two lines. I'll spare you the terminology that the sonographer used. Let's just say - these are GIRLIE parts! :)
We got a great profile shot, where you can see the SKIN of her nose and lips and chin. See how at the top of her face it looks like there's a transparent double-image? That's skin!!!
And now her face is towards you. You can see the eye sockets, the nose bones. This is what they call the Skeletor look. :)

We also got to see her YAWNING in real time on the sonogram! Awesome stuff.

I am BEYOND jazzed about this, folks. And I can't wait to meet her!!!

Okay - off to work! Have a great day! When I get back from Oklahoma, we'll be gearing up full blast for Disneyland!

MAIN STREET AWAITS!

AATM#300 here.. Long time listener of the show, even did a Mousecalls segment, now I finally found my way to the blog! Awesome picts! Thanks for sharing! Just enjoy all these awesome times and experiences! It is truly a miracle so make the most of it. Before you know it the little one will be born, you'll get a year of sleep deprivation, then you'll blink and they'll be teenagers. Yikes. It goes by so fast it's not even funny. So enjoy these times and keep up your legendary enthusiasm! Congrats and enjoy!

Very cool, gotta love the ultrasound. Although, for our first they misread and though our daughter was a he....a 3-D ultrasound showed a VERY different picture...yeah, I'm sure we have the same "terminology" in mind....

very cool. I know when I had my ultrasound a few weeks ago, it was definately a boy. They showed me all the boys parts - very clearly. He isn't shy. So your little girl and my little boy will have to meet someday at Disney both being November 09 babies and having parents that are Disney fanatics. :)

She is so beautiful!!! Very exciting!!! Have a good trip and get some rest when you can. My Mom is back in the hospital so I won't be able to post much (except that I think I am going to get an iphone tomorrow, so maybe I will be able to)

Oh my gosh - that is absolutely amazing! Those pictures are fantastic! I'm ashamed to say I usually can't make out very much in sonograms, but those ones...wow...that profile one is so beautiful... How exciting!!!! Safe travels!

Following your posting takes me back 14 and 17 years. Has it been that long really?

Exciting stuff indeed.
