Precious

Okay - first a quick update. I just did a long wog - and feel great about it - however, (talk about dopey) my mileage counter on my iPhone conked out midway through. So I know it was over 4 miles in about an hour. LOL That's about as good as it's gonna get. Next Sunday I have an 8 miler picked out - and the following Saturday is the RnR!

So - how cool were those ultrasound photos?

Well I get MORE of them. Yup. See - she wouldn't roll to her other side, and so they have great measurements of PART of the baby. But they need to check the other side. So we get to go back for another ultrasound in about 2 weeks or so. We were told we'd only get one! I get another chance to see my daughter! YAY!

Speaking of which - do you have ANY idea how much STUFF a baby needs? Yeah. I know! We spent a good 3 hours at Babies R Us yesterday filling out more items on our registry. Holy cats!!! (FYI - if you're interested (some of you have asked) - feel free to go to www.babiesrus.com and search for Amber Dichter in the registry - you can see the awesome stuff we've registered for! Although a lot of the clothing and things are "in store" only - so you'd have to go look at cute outfits.) :)

How weird is it that I'm about to celebrate my very first father's day? Wow.

Unreal.

How's your Juneathon going?

I've been terrible at emailing Jeff to get my stuff on the site - but I'm keeping up with the pledge!!! Keep it going!!!

MAIN STREET AWAITS!

I don't have kids myself (yet), but all my friends do. I have a decent idea of all the stuff a baby needs. It reminds me...did you ever watch the show "Mad About You"? The one with Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt? I remember one episode, when they were having their baby on the show...I think he had a dream where he and the wife were in the hallway in front of their apartment. They were surrounded by tons of baby stuff, and were taking inventory. They had the swing, the carrier, the stroller, the diaper bag, etc etc. He goes "where's the baby?" And she says "Oh we're not taking the baby. There's no room."

I commented to my best friend who likes to run and aspires to marathon, that it might be fun to do a Disney Half Marathon together someday. She suggested we set a date for 5 yrs from now. That's the year we turn 40. The problem, is I'm cool with walking, but dislike running. I walk 1.39miles (I checked tonight.) And that's about all my pug-dog can handle. What did I get myself into?

I can only imagine how many things a baby needs...it must be really exciting and daunting all rolled into one!!!

And just getting round to catching up on blogs, WOW at the ultrasound pictures! I love the picture of her waving - that is truly real-life magic, right there. Congratulations in advance for your first ever Father's Day!

Oh yes the wee ones have a high demand from day one. Right from should we use a pacifier? What kind of bottles to use??Diapers, and tons of them. Formula, and will they be able to drink it. Will baby sleep through the night,clothes, they grow so fast,toys,and swings, and blankets and car seats.. Get a really good one and have the PD show you how to put it in your car the right way, get one that is FAA approved, that means it will float up right.{I am always thinking safety}
Strollers and diapers.
It's alot but worth every dime. Even when they get older and all you want to do is pull their hair out. haha
First day of school, I was a wreck, but my son held my hand told me it was going to be ok and make sure I was there waiting after school.
HI Amber!!!! I hope you are doing good. :)
Enjoy it. Bean is a great gift.

Babies are like stuff collectors. Whenever my 10 month old great neice comes over it's like my house is swallowed with baby things. That's even when she just comes over for a couple of hours :)!

Great job on the wog. Keep it going.
