Heatwave

Yesterday was a recordbreaking heat day here in the Pacific Northwest. And man oh man was it hot.

I sincerely hope this heat breaks soon - because none of us have a/c. We did get a new window put in, so at least we can ventilate the living room.

Poor Amber is SO uncomfortable right now.

And yet - what did I do this morning?

Went out for my wog.

And sweated.

A lot.

Ew.

Shower time.

MAIN STREET AWAITS!

The heat is supposed to go away this weekend and next week. Better to get all your strenuous stuff done early! We have a fan that fits in the window and have it on the shady side of the house so it pulls the cool air in. Poor Amber!! Hopefully it will not be hot all summer!!

You don't have a/c? Ok, this is when I go into my "wow it never occurred to me that not everyone has a/c." I, uh, don't pay enough attention.

Jonathan,

Have you considered getting something like this? http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=395775

It's a portable air conditioner that you connect with hoses, as opposed to having to put in/out of windows, and can move around between rooms if needed. I know you probably don't want to get something that you'll "use once", but, not so certain that you only WILL use it once, plus, isn't Amber's comfort (& the Bean's) something worth considering? Realize, this is NOT the only model out there nor am I endorsing it over others, it's just the first one I could find online fast.

Hope that things cool down so you'll NEVER need it, but, might be something worth having "just in case". Be well, my friend!

Did I read that right? No A.C.? That's crazy talk.

Here in Iowa we have to have a blazing furnace for the winter and a mighty AC for the summer. Alaska winters and Florida summers you know.

Great job on the mileage. You are in the final days of your training for the RnR Half. Keep pushing yourself.

I'll feel sorry for you for a second. Done. Okay, having grown up in WA I can sympathize with heat and no A/C. Lots of fans, ice blocks and shade. Keep up the miles-sweat is good!
