So - good news and not-so-good news today. And good news.
Good news - I'm down nearly 3 pounds this week. YAY! My measurements have all decreased (except for a .5 inch increase on my thigh) - and I'm feeling really good about this. I'm moving in the right direction and poised to have great success! I feel REALLY good about this.
Bad news - even though Dad's home from the hospital - he's had some complications from his medication - it's mostly better now, and likely ALL better by mid-week, but he was having severe memory loss and confusion - as a result, I've spent most of the last 4-5 days on the phone with my mother, my father, my sister, the doctors, nurses, etc. trying to figure out what's been going on. Add to that the stress of my mother being incapable of really coping with this (despite being an RN for nearly 40 years) - and what you end up with is me being EXHAUSTED. I haven't been sleeping well - and as a result, I haven't worked out since Friday. I'll get back to the gym tomorrow, I promise.
Good news - I'm so excited about this one folks - tonight we record the FIRST MATCHUP of the FIRST ROUND of the DISNEY FEUD. First matchup is: Bryan Ripper v. Steve Swanson. It's gonna be FUN folks! :)
How are you doing? How was your mother's day? Weekend? Are you struggling, but still putting one foot in front of the other? Still moving forward?
Stay with me team! We can DO this!
MAIN STREET AWAITS!
First, YAY and double YAY on the weight and inch loss!!!! That is so great!! I’m proud of you!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd secondly, I am sorry your family is going thought this again. We went through this with my Father and it was very trying, especially on my Mother who was 82 at time and has health problems of her own. There isn’t any advice I can give except that you need to get your rest because your family needs you and YOU need you. I know it is easier said than done!! Just know that you have a lot of support here on your blog even if you can’t physically see these people. They all seem to care very much!
Dana
Jonathan,
ReplyDeleteI do hope your Father is able to recover from this. It's good to hear he is home. Love and Prayers from the North East to your family.
Our hopes and prayers are with you, your dad, and the rest of your family.
ReplyDeleteAwesome job with the ongoing challenge this week. This puts you 1 lb in the lead. Just makes me want to fight that much harder this week.
Congratulations on your 3 pound loss...That's awesome. See what focus and hard work can do for you?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your Dad's medication problems. I've been there and it's not easy. Even with your Mom being an RN - it's not the same when it's your loved one going through it. Just be there to support everyone.
I know it's hard to think about working out with all the family stress, but try to use your execise time as clear your thoughts and zone out time. It'll help you feel stronger and be better able to cope the challenges of the day.
Keep up the good work :)!
You father continues to be in my thoughts and prayers (as well as you, your Mom and sister).
ReplyDeleteWhat great news on the weight loss! Great win and something to build on for sure. Build on..take off...hmmm... Yeah, I'm guessing you don't really want to "build" onto it...capitalize? I think you catch my drift. Tough times do make it tough to balace everything, but keep your focus as you have been and you'll keep adding to that number.
Hey!
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for you guys, too!! I just wanted to officially let you know that!
I mostly follow my blogs (including yours) on my iPhone, so I don't always post...but I am still here and checking in each day!
Hang in there!!!
Sorry to hear about your father. I'll keep you guys in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your weight loss! It's awesome what you continue to do and how dedicated you are. I know you've heard this a million times, but it's truly inspiring.
Can't wait for Disney Feud! Friday morning can't come quickly enough...
