Week One - Day One

Strap in! It's gonna be a bumpy ride!!!

Seriously though - this morning went GREAT in my opinion. 3/3 interval - 13.8 minute pace - 2.8 miles in 38:50. The interval was rough, since some songs are longer than 3 and others are shorter, but still. A good quality workout. :)

A little shin splint in the left shin that I'm still working through but will be okay.

Tomorrow is weights - and I had stopped them - hadn't been to the gym in about 3 weeks. And I'm switching up WHAT I do and HOW I do it a little. We'll see how it goes.

Food was not bad yesterday - despite the birthday party for Ayla (pictures coming - HOLY CATS! LOL) - and speaking of birthdays: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMBER!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

So I'm up to 288.3 again. But not bad, considering the week. We'll conquer that number this week at a minimum. :)

AND we're 184 days from my trip!

MAIN STREET AWAITS!
We're off to a great start!

  1. Why am I always the first to post here! LOL

I hear ya on the shins...battling through this as well. Don't think it's the shoes, but Mike Greene reminded me that it's typically the shoes....I just don't want to admit it... :D We'll see, but check on that yo'self.

You mentioned needing motivation to carry you though...Hey, I'm the SAME way! Another reason I loved last months challenge! I'm finding it WAY more difficult in July even thought we're only a week into it. Perhaps a rematch of sorts? ;-)

  2. Jonathan I proud to see you are pushing through your pain. Great job on the intervals. I can totally agree about needing motivation. See my latest post on my blog. Now get that weight back down and "Keep moving forward!"

  3. Watch out some of those songs can get long.
Good job getting out there. One of many more, right?
Weight gain!! Rolling the eyes, I found it easier to eat at the world this time. Granted it was hard not to have a couple ice cream sandwich, and stuff like that but it was easier than before. So if I can do it you can to!

  5. Maybe several of us should have a percentage weight loss challenge for the month of July, since it seems to a top-of-mind issue?

  6. Happy Birthday to Amber!!

Sorry about the shin splints. :-(

I may not have a room booked yet, but I took your advice and I booked a spa treatment at the GF for 01/10 and 01/11. ;-)

Maybe the treatments will be my motivation for finishing. I can see it now....ahhhhhhh. :-D
