First of all - I've lost OVER 2 pounds this week (2.7) to be exact, despite a BEAUTIFUL Easter dinner, and more than one stop at the candy dish. :)
I was going to attempt a 4 mile run this morning, but due to digestive issues with some of dinner last night, had to call it at 40 minutes. Yikes. LOL But I'd been running at 4.5 or 5.0 for awhile - and managed to post 2.756 miles in only 40 minutes. Not bad at all, in my opinion.
This week - my trial restarts tomorrow - and goes most of the week (hopefully to be done by Thursday) - so my MORNING time will be limited to 20-30 minute runs, but I plan on doing one per day - it helps energize me in the mornings before trial.
And now - a small sad issue. Kinda a real bummer, in fact.
I got an e-mail last night from Angie. She's accepted a contract security position with the military, and will be leaving our gym for awhile. (And I had JUST re-upped with her for 10 more sessions) She was kind enough to discuss my training with Geanna, another trainer, and to discuss my goals and successes, and thinks Geanna will be great to get me to the race and beyond - and Angie will remain available as a resource, but it's a bummer. Angie and I really clicked. Hopefully Geanna can push me to that next level, though.
And the goal for this week is to finish out March strong, post another loss, and get OUTSIDE at least once (next weekend). April's goals are going to be fun - in fact, I have an interesting concept to play with for a Team Voice Challenge.
See - April 17th, I turn thirty years old. Yikes.
Can we play with the number 30?
MAIN STREET AWAITS!
Hey, every time you think about being 30 and that being a bad thing, think of Scopa. lol. He's got to be what, 30 times 4? I hope to hear that your new trainer is as good as your current one. Keep up with everything, Main Street Awaits!
ReplyDeleteJonathan, nice job staying on track during Easter!! This Team Voice member hits the 30 mark in June, so I'll be intersted to see what the others come up with for a play on the #30.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you're still headed in the right direction! But, instead of saying "I only have time to do 20 minutes this week", could you not say "I have to go to bed 20 minutes earlier so that I can get up 20 minutes earlier in order to get my full 40 minutes in this week"? It's all a matter of priorities.
ReplyDeleteC'mon counselor, 30 is the new 20!!! Yes....I'm already passed 30, how did you guess? :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're doing great, keep challenging yourself. Perhaps we can make team Voice do 30 squat thrust's a day, LOL!
Hey Jonathan! I'm a regular reader, but I'm a first time poster. My birthday is on April 18th. I found that funny. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI see you getting that pace down there.
ReplyDeleteGood job!!!
I'm sending positive vibes your way, hoping that trial is going okay.
